For 24 dollars they could have, at the very least, mounted the exhibit correctly. From left to right the second item should be the fifth and the third item should be in first position. After that I get confused as to which item belongs in what position.
It would have been so much more meaningful if each item had had a number from 1-6, in the same black color as the already black background. Then, once every 1/2 hour a member of the MOMA staff responsible for mounting the exhibits, could physically rearrange the order of the items. If union rules prevent the execution of that last variation, then forget the numbers and just place a sign above the entire group of six pieces inviting every sixth viewer to rearrange the items into more correct order.
