This is Mr. Nun in his restaurant. The place is
called Somtam Soi 5, which as best as I can figure is also the
address of the place should you go looking for it. A note on the
menu in several languages informs customers that not only is Mr. Nun
the proprietor, he is also the cook and the waiter. We are further
advised that everything is prepared from ingredients purchased in the
local market that morning. He asks that we be patient since he cooks.
each dish to order. I left the selection up to him and my lunch turned out
to be a traditional dish of noodles and meat with a desert of fresh
mango and sweetened sticky rice.
Of course, it was one of the greatest
meals I have ever eaten.
...........and I have no idea how he came by that apron.

I LOVE finding little spots like this....The Anthony Bourdain approach to epicurian travel. It's great that you're having a wonderful time. Are you still in Hong Kong?
On closer inspection..the sticky rice, artwork....the question should have been: Are you in Thailand? Where?
Mr. Nun's place is in Chaing Mai, Thailand.
