*Footnote: it is entirely possible that at some time in the distant future, a seeker of things past will uncover a tiny bit of our civilization. All that remains of us. And from this bit, much in the manner of some learned deciphering of a fragment of Mayan Codex, an entire picture of our culture will be extrapolated. Other learned folk will nod and add further observations. In the end they will believe they have a uncovered and come to a total understanding of our daily lives, our religious practices, our foibles and even our pratfalls. Now consider that the archaeological artifact they based it all on turned out to be one of these signs.
