Times Square, December 31, 10:15 AM

I try to get up to Times Square every New Year's Eve, usually around mid-morning. I get to shoot some snapshots of people from all over the world who will be standing around for the next 14 hours with no access to restrooms. During those hours, they will see little more than the backs of the heads of the people in front of them.

This year as an added bit of joy, I shot with a new camera and even better, with a new, cheap ultra wide angle lens. The lens is a bit soft around the edges and distorts perspective a bit. I think the combination captures even more of the emotion of the day.

When I look at these snapshots, I will end the My Year feeling vastly superior and that will help to give me the courage to face the New Year.

Ps: Is a Pokeyman really a Rastfarain proctologist?
