On My Block.........

It was one hell of a party: about a mile and a half long and it went on for a long, long time. It also came right by my front door. And that evening a 100,000 folks or so wandered around the neighborhood, trying to look like they actually knew where they were going. It is great to live in Greenwich Village.  Actually, there is no other place in this town I'd rather live, but there are times when I am equally happy that my apartment in the back of the building. Anyway,  it was a very, very happy crowd, and by morning all was well. We do things right in New York!

(And I have to mention that all this had absolutely nothing to do with my cousin’s wedding. At least I don’t think it did………. See the last posting - below this one - and that may make sense. Or not.)
