The Mermaid Parade, An S&M Street Fair....and My Cousin's Wedding.......

Are these events connected? Well, last week I photographed the Annual Mermaid Parade in Coney Island, The Annual Folsom Street S&M Street Fair - right in my neighborhood - and shot a few snapshots at my cousin’s wedding. Her wedding was in New Jersey. It was an exciting week. A bit of two of these events follows.   I originally decided not to post anything from one of these events which was probably a good idea because I figured that if I did, I’d probably add a few coments that would probably piss off some people who probably mean well. And they probably aren’t the people responsible for all of the weirder aspects of that day. Or for what I thought was the caterer’s screw up, but actually turned out to be just another reigonal tradition...... or as the bride's mom (who also is my cousin) put it: "If you serve all the food too quickly, the guests go home."
