Rachel's In Brooklyn

This is disturbing: It began last week when I got lost in Brooklyn.  And then I saw this sign. Ever since, I find myself thinking about women who require corsets in 'hard to fit sizes.'  I mean, what is so hard about fitting them? Do they need help getting into their corsets? Are there people at this shop who's job it is to force fit corsets? Do they need special training for this job? Where will they work if Rachel goes out of business? To compound it, the store was in an Orthodox Jewish area and since it was Saturday, it was closed. So does that mean that Rachel's customers are Orthodox women, who wear hard to fit corsets? My mind boggles. Then I got to wonder about Rachel. How did she get into this business? What got her interested in corsets? Was it something that happened when she was very young? Did she walk in on her parents eating cheeseburgers? Did she start with 'easy to fit' corsets and go on to specialize? And why are the windows above Rachel's shop boarded up? What goes on up there that they are trying to hide?

I doubt that this has anything much to do with the shapeshifting reptilian extraterrestrials who built the pyramids, but you never know. I have been loosing sleep over this.

I felt the need to share.

Reminds of my old friend Walter who, during the '60s, made "hand-fitted" macramé brassieres.
