It seems like every time I visit
Brooklyn, I learn something new. Regrettably, most of those new
things are usually pretty disturbing - scroll back to some of the
stuff I've put up after other visits for examples. My latest was
shot today along a few blocks of a street called Kings Highway. What
I was doing there is none of your business.
Anyway,
Kings Highway is not really a highway, but these are really places to
eat and I guess people who live in this part of Brooklyn really eat
there. I did not make up any of these signs and I for sure did not
enter any of the places they advertise. I did chat with a young
Israeli guy who told me he owns the one offering Sushi/Italian food
and wanted to know why I was taking photos of it. Guess he noticed I
wasn't from the neighborhood. Anyway, he told me he opened the place
because there was not another one offering the same food combination.
He seemed sane enough otherwise and I certainly could not argue with
his logic.
My personal fav's would be the combos offered on Hebrew National Dogs. Who woulda thought to top 'em with Pineapple and Cheese Whiz and Sour Cream? The mind boggles. For the stomach, not so much.
OK,
no further comment, it is too easy a target.
