Take The L Train!

This past weekend's unexpected 'find' on a street in Brooklyn.  Lots of wearhouses with this spectacular stuff painted on 'em.  And there are already a couple of places selling $4.00 cups of coffee, so you know where this neighborhood is going. Go see it before that happens. One of the few genuinely rewarding reasons to visit Brooklyn. L train to Jefferson Street stop.

Maury,
Pretty damn amazing! I don't know that area, but think I'll go look. This weekend I went to an art show with friends in the Red Hook warehouses that were built during the Civil War. There were similar murals in the Red Hook area.

Thanks for these.

I wonder if these murals are supported by an endowment or grant, or commissioned by the property owners? Or are they just the work of irrepressible, talented artists in the neighborhood who gotta paint?

It's so good to see them in your photos. I'm in Seattle.
